PhotoShow was born from our wedding preparations.

While discussing various wedding activities with my wife, as a software engineer, I thought: why not write some code for our own wedding? So I built a website that lets wedding guests scan a QR code to share photos they took at the event, featuring real-time photo slideshows and live text comments. After the wedding, it could also serve as a shared album where guests could download their favorite photos!

The result was amazing! Our friends interacted enthusiastically, flooding the screen with comments—it was adorable and so much fun.

At the time, I even joked that if there was a bug during the event, we could just debug it live. After all, many of my engineer friends were sitting in the audience and could help with debugging on the spot. Fortunately, everything went smoothly—looking back, it still makes me laugh.

After the wedding, we thought: this tool could help others too. So we shared it briefly on Threads, and to our surprise, it received tremendous response—many people saved it, requested it, and even commented: "My wedding is in ○ month, I hope it's still free by then!"

Later, people actually started registering on the website and using PhotoShow at their own weddings, bringing back valuable feedback. Every time we receive feedback from users, it reminds me of the happy memories from our own wedding.
